Anyone else?

    Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed...
    trouble launching apps (slow)
    clicking safely remove hardware never says 'safe to remove device'
    computer management - disk manager service cannot be connected to.. some dcom error in event viewer.

    This is happening to 2 different PCs.. and the only thing that has been added lately to either one is Windows Updates..

    Just wondering...

    i am blaming windows updates.. this is the only thing these 2 comps have in common... one I game with, the other 'work'.... (they are different hardware too)

    just wondering if anyone else has seen this...

    BTW...no it is not spyware, ect.. they are clean.. the game machine is only on steam & CS...lol. The 'work' machine goes everywhere...

    I have all updates from MS to date and dont have what you are experiencing on both my 3 home PCs and the 5 I have in my office.. all different hardware and specs.

    have to ask.. have to adjusted any of the Services ( a la Blackviper )?

    The USB thing I get that on works PCs all the time its a know quirk of XP, random notification icons.

    Also which windows update was it ( KB number )?


    edit: I mentioned XP above, but which OS are you using for clarification?
