Anyone Ever See This Error Before?

    Some of my files now have that little shortcut arrow in the bottom left corner even though the file
    is NOT a shortcut but the actual file itself.

    When I double click it to try and open, I get this error message:
    "windows cannot find 'quxwlupjaa.vbs'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."

    Then the next error message tells me it can't find that file, and make sure I typed in the name correctly.

    You have malware. Something might have encrypted your files so they will not open.

    Hi, thanks for the reply. I figured it out after much research. It was a "shortcut virus". It would basically replace my files and turn them into shortcuts. I downloaded a software called, UsbFix. It did the job and the problem is gone! Hope this helps anyone else out there....just use UsbFix.

    You should also check your USB devices like memory card readers (or devices with memory cards), flash drives and MP3 players. That virus is usually transferred from an infected USB device.
