Anyone Familiar w/Clonezilla? (Error Reading Drive - XP Clone)

    I'm using Clonezilla 1.2.1-17. I'm cloning a 20 GB XP installation to a 40 GB drive.

After the clone, I get an error reading drive error when booting the clone. I've tried using the same partition table as the source, partitioning manually with fdisk, or dd, and I've also tried fixing the clone mbr with fixmbr and fixboot off the XP recovery disk. I haven't used LBA parameters because the only options in the bios are auto and off. Has anyone come across this problem before?

I've also saved an image and received the same error when restoring the image. Is there a special option that I should use? When I booted the computer with the source as the master and the clone as the slave, I can see the directory structure, but I can't boot from the clone.

Any help or suggestions of a better free software would be very helpful.

    Thanks
