Anyone have CS: Source?

Does anyone here have CS: Source? if so, how do you like it?

 

I heard that the graphics are intense!

 

Yeah thats what i haerd, and the physics also.

 

new grahpx + square maps = not worth all these years of waiting. Physics(not gravity) are fun if they are set to low; i saw a guy get head shot and fly 100ft back against a brick wall and then fall flat on his face 20ft away from the wall; it was great.

 

i play online with steam and i think it is great. especially the effects

 

The graphics arent as jaw dropping as you think. Doom 3 graphics when turned up full look amazing. You get dont the same feeling with CS:S. It's more just like really high detail textures and some bump mapping. Now i'm not saying it doesn't look nice, it does.. just not as nice as i thought it would. As i said, nothing looks mind blowing, just high detailed textures.

Oh and it plays exactly the same more or less apart from bodies getting blown about.

 

lol ya maybe but personally CS is alot more fun for me than Doom 3... Just the aspect of sneakyness like rainbowsix but where you can shoot through walls and you have to use your brain makes it alot more fun... my type of game. But thats just me ya know

yeh i had a hour online last night then it disappeared from my steam game list and i had to install itt again now its gonn take 338 mins should it do this?

 

Should it do that no. What you can do to prevent this from happening again and you having to redownload it is in the steams game list right click on counterstrike and click properties then click back up game and it will back the game up to removable media ie cds or dvds.
