Anyone heard from Adrynalyne?

I havn't heard from Jeremy in a while, anyone know where he's been hiding?

 

Haven't heard from him in months but often think of him and hope he is doing okay

 

you know i been wondering the same thing. i was going to make another MIA post because i have not seen wenchie eather...

 

While we are doing MIA posts, where did Insomniac get to?

 

dang whats going on people are sneaking away from us with out us knowing... we need to put up a bigger fance and put a 1000watt charger on it

 

Last I heard working and going back to school was really taking alot of his time.

if your gone for more thin 12 hours your MIA if your gone for more thin 48hours with out knowing where you are you are considered KIA

 

I have noted this board is not as lively as it used to be.

People come and go all the time. Some temporarily, some for good. A lot of us have busy lives outside of the net, or just the whole board thing wares thin and gets stale. A lot like the people that come and go in 'real' life, really.

The way I look at it, I aint their mother, nor them , mine. Although, I do miss the quality of forum life and some of the folk that used to be here, up ‘till about two years ago.

To be honest, in some cases, it's for the better. But definitely not all. There is a core element of comradery which originally made this board in about it's first twelve months, most gone - which I'll always miss.

 

I guess they could be taking a vacation, sort of relaxing from the computer. I had to take a vacation myself because the Malware Forum, my jobs and personal life was killing me I had to do something. Now, with Chaslang, SPD and Matt helping out I can do many as I can work and they do the same, together we stay caught up and moving along.

 

Hey BJ if you Chaslang, SPD, or Matty go missing for to long will send out the search posse for your guys sorry nether regions, because we will be constipated with Malware Cr*p and won't be able to function.

As a "Newbie" here, there is a definite hierarchy here at Major Geeks, that is tough to break through. There is the "Old" crowd that has been here, and know each other, then there are us "Newbie's" that are sometimes treated to some pretty cruel cutting remarks when we post or are just plain ignored. I know it has happened to me numerous times. But being the Stubborn Old Fart I am, most just rolls of my back, but I can see why many are intimidated and just leave. It's a shame really because this site has much to offer, and only gets better with each new memeber.

 

Yeah, like Tim said "we're not a real big forum but we're all pretty tight". That's why I like it here, it's kind of like family. It's a place for us to come and talk about and do what we love to do. The best part is we get to help people around the world, free!

Seriously, what would be awesome if we could have like a "MajorGeeks Conference" where all the active members (active meaning, post everyday) get together and just have a good time. That would be awesome if we all didn't live around the world. lol

 

quite afew times i want to say good bye to the internet but MG keeps bring me back to my computer plus some games aswell

it would be nice if all us USA geeks could get together or even all of us from around the world could get together...


I know lets all meet at stars house no wait lets meet up at MA's house i want a ride in his Viper

I don't know if it helps, but you would certainly be on my MIA list if you went missing. It is in the nature of the beast for an early group in the development of a project to become exclusive but it stymies growth. I don't know how one would change that particular cycle.

Thanks Abri, and what a great project Major Geeks is, in all my surfing I have yet to find a site that comes anywhere near OUR Major Geeks. Great site, Great People, and hey Thanks to you, Darlene, TimW, and others we have a great Joke thread now.

 

Its a small world too. I wouldnt be surprised if some of us had walked past each other walking down the street. I moved across Canada and the first person (pretty much) i saw was a friend from bc...amazing...
It is tight here, not too many online places you can go and recognize a name. Plus every one here is truly good, er likable.
I brag about MG to everyone all the time.
I wake in the morn and check the posts here before my email

This may just be a "Urban Myth" but I have heard that M.A. just loves to let any and all drive his "Viper", and play around in his backyard, and mooch his food and booze. Been busy, mostly with life.

To summarize, I crashed and burned, in a financial sense. Now the proverbial phoenix is rising from the ashes, literally starting all over.
