Anyone here who knows Skype in and out?

I've recently installed Skype, in order to use it for conference calls while playing multi player.

My problem is that I'm sitting in the same room as my partner while we play. We both want to be able to talk, so we've got Skype installed on both our comps, and we use headset to eliminate some of the feedback problems. But it is very annoying to hear each other twice, first IRL, and then a second or 2 later through the headset. Is there any way to mute a single person in a conference call? I've browsed through all settings in vain for something like that, but thought I'd ask before I give up!

 

I'm not sure how to do this in skype even if it is even possible Im not really sure it is what it is designed for, You might take a look at teamspeak or verntrillo.

 

Teamspeak is not an option. You do not get the same sound quality with that program, and it requires a lot of tweaking to set it up properly. I have had it with that program!

Ventrillo I haven't tried, but I am assuming it is similar to Teamspeak. Also not an option at the mo.

If there is no way I can get Skype to do what I want it to do, I'd rather use yahoo messenger for voice.

So, anyone who does know Skype a little better who knows if there is such an option?

 

I have tried the Skype support on this, but they seem to be busy this week, maybe they are closing in on Christmas as well lol.

Strange if this can't be done, I would imagine many couples using the conference thing to share a conversation with other people.
