Anyone in here still play Warcraft III?

Believe it or not, I just picked up a copy of the game (the "Battle Chest" edition, complete w/ "Frozen Throne") last week. I was really into Starcraft a few years ago and the transition to this game was very easy (although I am still a newbie right now!).

Anyways, here are a few questions:

1 - Does anyone know when Warcraft III was originally released?

2 - When did the "Frozen Throne" expansion set become available?

3 - What race do you guys typically use while on BattleNet?

I am learning how to play as the Humans primarily but experimenting with the Orcs as well...I'm definately a newbie right now, but I am reading through the strategy guide over at: http://www.battle.net/war3/

yes, i played it alot. Frozen throne the most...... i came out a little over a year ago...... My fav is orcs or night elves ...... there are some kewl strats with them both

 

I play on and off with the frozen throne but right now I'm hooked on ut2004 and soldier of fortune 2.

 

I was a huge Starcraft fan, I also liked WC2 a lot, but for some reason I never really got into WC3. One of my friends is really into it on and off, but he went on like 10 game losing streak on Battle.Net and I think he got really pissed and quit for the summer. He's really into keeping his record looking and all that.

Yeah i play both frozen throne and broodwar. i play on east for war3 name is ElChunky and for brood its SubithDezeroith

 

WC3 is my favorite strategy game, but since i got wireless in my house, bnet disconnects me for no apparent reason. its really upsetting when ur winning and then *BAM* u lose connection.
RealityDude is my name on the eastern server, with humans as my race. nightelfs i like too. brood war im realitydude too. i quit playing melee games because i got tired of being bsed. usually zerg

 

I play Warcraft 3 TFT, although I'm only like lvl 8 on Bnet. I like to use Humans because I have a good set of early and late game strategies to employ. The original Warcraft 3 came out in 2001-2002ish when I got my laptop, and The Frozen Throne came out last summer when the local Lan center opened. ^_^
