The only "free"(and good)anti trojan program I know of, and use as a on demand scanner, would be Gladiator AntiVirus(GAV).
It really is good, but the best anti trojan programs out there are ones you have to pay for.
You could try TDS-3, but that is only a trial version unless you buy it. I own it and DCS' other programs and you can't beat them for value. They have great support, a great forum for their products and if you purchase them, then you get free upgrades to TDS-4 and Wormguard 4 when they are released.

Hope that helps a bit. But there really aren't any good anti trojan programs out there for free ragman. Some might state otherwise, but If what you want to do is to make your system as secure as possible then you need quality programs - and for that good quality you will have to pay. Don't get me wrong, there are some great free programs out there, but as far as anti trojan software...I believe not.

    Regards, Jade.

BTW, you can check out and download GAV here:

I use Avast antivirus and run Ad-aware frequently. Avast is set to run updates automatically. I have to check manually for Ad-aware updates. They seem to be keeping my computer squeaky clean. And best of all, they're free.

    G'day Doc.

Avast is strictly an antivirus, and Ad-aware is for spyware. I would definately not rely on them for the detection of trojans.

Gladiator AntiVirus on the other hand, is for the detection of virii, worms and trojans.

Thanks, Jade. I also use ZoneAlarm and a little program called Browser Hijack Blaster. Do you know much about those stopping trojans?
And dang, I misspelled squeaky in my original reply.

"I also use ZoneAlarm and a little program called Browser Hijack Blaster. Do you know much about those stopping trojans?" - Doc Savage

Zonealarm may catch a trojan trying to call home, but it won't be able to remove or quarantine any trojans. As for Javacools Browser Hijack Blaster, he has stated over at the wilderssecurity forum(in my sig)that you should now use SpywareGuard 2.1 for browser hijacking protection as it has been much improved.

I have included a sreenshot of SG2.1 for ya;).
