Anyone know what these are?? HELP!

So I was looking through a bag of my older computer stuff and stumbled across these wires (http://www.geocities.com/thurdeye4/Pic.html) I have no idea what they are or what they are used for. Has anyone seen anything like these before? At one end is a normal headphone jack and the other end is two rubber flaps with a single LED light at the end of each flap.

 

my only guess would be a jack tester

Anyway, yes, sounds like somthing to test whether a jack is wired correctly..

By the way......When I plug the wire into my speaker jack and play music the lights do nothing.

 

those wires can be used for a remote control access or control of your audio y u would have them though i have no idea my friend has some of them he runs on 98se though there mainly that or possibly a jack tester but those have 3 lights on them to let u know the strength if its outputting or taking in any signal

 

those look like IR blasters... I had something just like that from my DTV to sit in front of my VCR so whatever I programmed into directv - it could 'control' the vcr.. by transmitting the signal through those devices you have pictured.
The long 'arm' so you can wedge them under the device and the IR transmitter would be angled up to the vcr's IR reciever.

 

Of course! Doesn't sound like a very good quality one... mind.

For some reason I assumed it was a visaul LED not an IR LED.
