Anyone purchase a car thru Costco buyer program?

Just wondering how it was. I am doing tons of research and looking at every chevy dealer in town. Costco doesn't always have the best deal on products but I figured it was another avenue to check out before purchasing.

 

My sister in law has a couple of times, she swears by it. If you want me to ask her any specific questions let me know.

 

If you could ask her if she thought the pricing was good or just fair, would be a big help. I know they have no haggle guarantee pricing, but could mean just about anything...

 

Okay, she finally called me back. Said to get a copy of the program from Costco or you can get it on the net.
There is no separate loan officer or anything, just one person that will contact you and that is it, start to finish.
You tell them the price you want, they will tell you the bottom price you can get. If there is a promo at the dealership, rebates etc, you get those. Will ask your down etc, you tell them what you want.
They give you a list of dealerships/car lots you can go to, with your "Red xyz, 25k miles, etc" Pick the one you want, that's it. They have done this several times and highly recommend it.

Also good is AAA's car buying program. My sis got a Honda Accord thru them and the price was better than what she'd been able to haggle. You tell them the make and they tell you what dealer to work through in your area.

Also, it at all possible, do your own financing. Most car dealers, other than the advertised low interest stuff, tack a couple percent onto any standard loan that's NOT their own. If you don't qualify for one of the super low factory sponsored rates, shop around.
