Anyone recognise this error message?

    Aside from being svchost.exe, there isnt much to tell you.

    Do you notice you lost inet connectivity or anything like that, when it happens?

    Adryn you must be psychic, I was just mentioning your name to someone I'm helping out. I'm starting to suspect that this is caused by a problem with their NIC card. I've just received a screen shot of their Device Manager and there's definitely an issue.


    In the meantime they have a dump file from another error and I wondered if you'd be kind enough to take a look at it for them. :)

    I don't know how to read those types of dumps, but attach it and I'll see if it uses the same format as memory dumps.

    Funny you should mention the nic--the most common cause of this error, that I've seen, is the DHCP or DNS client service crashing.
