Anyone recently upgrade to VB .Net and willing to sell their VB 6.0 ??

why aren't you moving to .NET?

 

Basically because I don't have the money. I typically buy older versions. VB 6.0 will work fine for what I write. My workplace uses VB 6.0. I have it there, but I don't have it at home and would like to be able to do some work at home.

 

you realize you can get the express .NET IDE for free LEGALLY direct from Microsoft ..right?

 

Does it have the compiler? And regardless, where can I get this?

Well, actually the compiler comes with the framework.. you can code in notepad if you wanted to and use the .net compiler but i'd bet it's more fun chewing broken glass than to program without the IDE.

Yeap, you can build web sites, desktop apps in VB, C#, Visual C++ , J# (this is not java).. whatever is available as an express version.. it's free.

Java (by sun.com) is also offering one of their IDE's for free. I have no idea what it's called though. You'll have to hit their site to find out more.

You can pick up netbeans for the free java ide, its offered on suns website. Id suggest dropping VB6, .net is the future of that language.

Yeah, I realize that .NET will be the future of the language but as I stated, my workplace still uses VB6. Until they upgrade, I'd just like a copy of it so I can do some work at home legally. I don't like to use illegal software since I write programs and don't want mine stolen either.

If u really need it and willing to obtain it ilegaly you could always download a p2p program from xxxxxxxxxxxxx and download it via the program.
