Anyone Use Corel Draw?

Chris uses Corel so if you post what your question is he, or someone else may be able to you....Or you can try Corel's site. They have quite a bit of info and tutorials there that might help...also here's a site for corel users.

 

Problem

I’m trying to copy just a portion of a photo I scanned in to Corel Photo Paint 8. Since I have no user manual, I’m hunting and pecking. I am using the oval masking tool to separate the portion of the photo I want to copy (right tool?). When I apply the mask tool, it looks like ants are running around the border of the oval. I can separate the oval portion but when I copy the oval picture part and try to paste it on a background, it looks like I’m pasting the oval portion of the photo on a white page on to the background, not just the oval section. I think I’m missing a step because when I copy the oval portion of the photo, the ‘ants running’ is still active.
