I was looking into using their free service to hide my IP address that i use to link people to my Winamp Shoutcast station... a friend referred me there but i've never utilized it and wanted to know if it was a reputable site and trustworthy...

Started reading their users agreement and noticed:

"No personally identifiable information that you provide to No-IP.com or information regarding the manner in which you use No-IP.com will be disclosed by No-IP except as permitted by this TOS. By becoming a subscriber, you agree that No-IP.com may share with other parties both aggregate information and limited individual information gathered during your use of No-IP.com. "Aggregate information" is information that describes the habits, usage patterns and/or demographics of customers as a group but does not indicate the identity of particular customers. "Individual information" is information about a customer presented in a form distinguishable from information relating to other customers but not in a form that enables the recipient to identify any particular customer. See our Privacy Policy for complete information on VitalwerksÕ policies regarding customer information."

    your thoughts?

Some are government based. As in, they monitor where you browse and such, trying to see if one were to do illicit activities. Though, if you don't use them for illegal activities, no trouble.

Just info from what I heard. Nothing from the internet, just info from people I know, who are ,uh, in the know so to speak.

alright Kodo, i've got my account set up, i've got my domain name... i'm not behind a static IP, so when i have to reset my router (when ISP goes down), i get assigned a new IP... so i was looking into downloading their tool, Windows Dynamic Update Client, so that i won't have to continually update my IP with the site each time it changes... good/bad idea to use this tool? Hopefully it won't take up much resources as it looks like something that has to run as a background process...
