I bought this mini-keyboard from Tiger-direct and working for some time in my (already running) XP But when doing a new install of Win7 ---- the typing went crazy, ex; tried to type in the Product key and when I typed 'S' it would show up as a 'T' or some other letter.

I removed this keyboard and plugged in an old HP standard one and worked fine so I could continue on with the OS install.

    Has anyone experienced this ?

When doing an install or upgrade of an OS (such as Windows), it's always a good idea to use a standard keyboard and mouse. Although some wireless and mini-keyboards will work, many require Windows drivers that are not built into the system (startup) BIOS.

I have a mini (notebook style) Adesso USB keyboard/touch pad on the point-of-sale system at my shop. When I hooked it up for the first time, Windows 7 had to automatically download drivers for it.

    Hope this info. helps. :)
