AOL causing blue screen crash

Hi There, AOL stopped working tonight and when trying to log on it crashed the pc to blue screen. I rebooted and uninstalled and re installed AOL9. However it still is happening.

The error message at the top says:

Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

then there is a stop message with lots of Os then at the bottom

HSFDPSP2.SYS-ADDRESS F93B4046 base at F9395000, DATESTAMP 40d22144

is it broken, how grumpy should I be, will the kids get their AOL back?

Uninstall AOL . . . .and then get anything other than AOL for future use. AOL is evil.

I agree with casndied Skull. The only difference between AOL and a virus is that you pay for AOL.

What internet connection do you have. Did you uninstall and reinstall the drivers for modem ?
Apart from that, I don't know what else to say, except I know AOL can be a pain at times. I still use it because it saves changing the email address, but it does go up the creek frequently.

 

Get AIM and use your current sign in. Then you can get whatever online service you want and still get to keep your AOL e mail address. No address change necessary and you can have whatever ISP you want. Best thing AOL ever did was let you keep the e mail address for free so the disillusioned masses could move on to the competition without having to worry about contacting 9,000 people about an e mail address change.
