I had aol 9.1 on my computer till a few days ago. Then when I tried to logon I was unable. Started receiving error messages and problems signing on. I deleted the aol program and reinstalled it from the internet explorer. After it was installed I received the following message, " AOL will now install the files required to connect service. Click yew to install these files. You may be asked to restart your computer." I restarted the computer and the same message with the same direction starts up when I want to connect to aol but will not connect. One message said, "in order to complete installation of aol software, please restart your computer Now." Then one error said Rundll error. Another error said, "Main idx database is damaged." I am not a paying member of aol so I cannot get any support from aol. Is there anything I can do to be able to connect to aol? Thank you in advance for any suggestions and solutions.

Have worked on quite a few machines where the people wanted AOL taken OFF their machines.Got tired of the lack of support, bloatware programs, and inconsistant operation.
