apologies to chaslang

    sorry if i was being rude before regarding the whole installing windows 2000 professional fiasco, I've encountered so many problems upgrading my pc that it's made me go a little nuts! I think we got our wires crossed about what I was trying to say but of course you're right about it needing so many security updates because it's four years old but I was so frustrated that I was unable to download them. Anyway eventualy I managed to which improved the situation a lot, spybot, adaware, avast got the rest. So the next time I feel like lashing out I'll try someting else like banging my head against the wall.

    Hmmmm, some may read all this and say, "why didn't you send chaslang a private message? Why post this?"

    The opposite is true, I suppose. If you have a problem with him, PM that to him (or better yet, keep it to yourself because you're probably wrong) ;)

    I think you did the right thing by apologizing here and you're quite the gentleman. chaslang needs to be shown respect on this board. He's not perfect (sorry, chas) but he gives hours of his time assisting all of us in our computer nightmares.

    I think he felt this was better and I think it is pretty damn cool of him. I have been told his situation can happen on multiple pcs in a business environment for example, so anyhow its all good by me. I was primarily protecting my moderators being attacked. Thanks for the apology towards Chaslang, it takes a big man.

    Thanks for the apology feberj. Apology accepted. Believe me, I realize how frustrating all this stuff can get. I'm dealing with dozens of different problems everyday and I go nuts and get grumpy too. So if I rubbed you the wrong way I apologize too!

    Hi Pegg! " I may not be perfect but I'm the closest one to it! " :p The quotes are because it was something a teacher of mine used to say all the time. And I don't believe that I am perfect for one darn second. If I were, I would have all the answers on the first try, and I would not have to keep modifying my Generic Solution sticky thread. :D
