Apple Software Update Problem

    iTunes just updated on my Windows 8.1 laptop but after it was finished, and checked for new software, instead of seeing the usual window with iTunes in the Updates section at the top and iCloud for Windows in the New Software section at the bottom, all I can see is this,

    I don't know why the window appears like this. I can't drag the bottom down to expand it and see the new software section. It's just stuck like that. This has never happened before. I can move the window but I can't resize it. I'm afraid to just click the x at the corner in case iCloud automatically installs. What should I do?

    You should cancel that window by using Task Manager, reboot then check your "Programs & Features" listing to verify the version you now have installed... the latest appears to be 12.7.3

    And cancelling the window will ensure that I won't accidentally install iCloud, correct?

    That should freeze everything currently happening or paused relating to iTunes.

    Even if it gets by you, you can uninstall iCloud several ways - use Windows or Revo Uninstaller or Geek Uninstaller.
