Application Hang

Hi guys. I play Call of duty 2. For some reason, even after a fresh reformat and installation of the game, the game freezes during some map roations and locks up my whole computer. Sometimes i am able to minimize the game by pressing the windows key. But 90% of the time, i must shut off my computer manually.

Thats the error i see in event viewer. Any more info needed let me know and i will get it. Hope you can help. thanks
