Application problems

Chaslang suggested using the software forum. See 'Msconfig not running' thread in malware removal.
I have a problem with some of the applications on my PC (windows XP SP2).
In safe mode to fix '.t' virus. now can't access msconfig and can't get out of safe mode also have this problem running fixwareout

Ran getrunkeys and showfiles again unzipped and through explorer same results

When trying to run msconfig similar error occurs have also attached the tech info

NTVDM.EXE is process that belongs to the Windows 16-bit Virtual Machine. 16 bit programs are dos programs, old games (win95 and lower).

Do you have any "older" games/programs installed? If I suspected anything like that I would try to disable or uninstall them and see if that allows you to boot into normal mode. I would also check msconfig after doing that and see if it works now.
