Applications switching focus

    I have an issue where a third party program opens a office document either a word or excel doc. After a short period the third party app comes to the forefront over the office document and gains focus . I have been scratching my head for months on this one and any attempt to fix is only temporary.
    anyone know a fix? it is microsoft again?
