Archiving in Neatdesk software

Hi I'm hoping someone else can help since neatdesk support is completely worthless. My main neatdesk database file is up around 1Gb in size and performance is starting to suffer. So I archived off some folders which totaled about 0.5Gb in size. After archiving the folders off my main neatdesk file is still 1Gb in size. The archive process automatically deletes them so I don't understand why my main file isn't shrinking? Anyone have any ideas? Does this my question make sense? I've talked to neatdesk support multiple time describing the issue as I have here and they just keep telling me to move the archive files off of my hard drive. They're killing me!! :cry

 

Unfortunately this long shot is my last option. As mentioned earlier I have gone back and forth with support multiple times just trying to explain and they fail to understand my simple issue let alone provide an answer.

I can't see a single reason why the folder would stay as large as it seems to be staying on your PC.

This is saying that the files you choose to move are "removed" from the main file, not copied.

I Googled, but I couldn't find any mention of this same problem. Seems like there should be some mention of this type of issue somewhere. Not that you aren't having the problem...it's just kind of hard to help. Too bad Neat is giving you such poor assistance...
