Apologies if this is the wrong section but I am not sure if this is a software or hardware issue. New pc recently and trying to set it all up. Anyway, I've noticed when using the Web that some sites fill up my widescreen monitor, whilst others do not and leave a large amount of space to either side of the page. Is there a setting to sort this out. For example, Majorgeeks is fine but dvdfile.com is not. Using Vista with Firefox.Thanks. Stan.

    Hi

Depends on how the website was created, many sites fill whole screen but many adopt the layout of straight down the middle with borders either side ( Blogs are common in this style ), nothing much you can do, you can zoom in the page but text also gets large ( CTRL+ to increase size CTRL- to decrease )

Thanks Halo. Just wanted to check if there was a browser setting but if it's the design then obviously I've no control over that. I would imagine that these websites will become a thing of the past as widescreen screens become more popular. Cheers! Stan
