Hello Friends,I am growing increasingly weary of trying to find SGI 320 rescue disks and I don't even know if this machine is worth it. Sure I like it but that only flies so far when I put cost vs progress on the scale. It would be nice to have it up and running with an OS I am familiar with. The stuff I have found so far assumes, (incorrectly) that I have a set of rescue disks and something called an SSK. I would not mind keeping the original SCSI hard drive and NT at this point but I can't crack the password. I guess thats a new thread:tired
    Any help welcomed,

    Hello dlb,
No joy on ebay but I'm still learning search techniques. Thank you very much for the password help I'll certainly try that and let you know, or is that what we do? I mean are we supposed to let the person who helped us know the outcome? If you don't mind me asking, How does one become a corporal or sargent on this site?

It's always nice to let the helper know how things went and if their adive worked or not... as far as becoming a Corporal and moving up to MajorGeek, it's 'scored' by the number of posts you have. You go up in rank every 100 posts until you break 1000, then you achieve MajorGeek.....
