Are there disk formatting tools here on site?

    friends
    must nuke a hard drive and start from scratch loading W98SE.
    In the past I was never convinced my tools for wiping and formatting drive were that good [just using typical MS startup diskettes].
    Can someone recommend, here or elsewhere, good tools for cold start, wipe and format drive, surface scan/repair, ready to load ????
