    hi,

i would like to ask if there are certain viruses, trojans, malwares, and or adwares that attacks your network connection or your router, causing your connection to be intermittent or causing your router to act "strangely"?

if there is, how would you remove it?

If you are referring to the Router's WAN port, then there is nothing that you can do about it.

It is like the traffic in street in front of your house, you can block people coming into your house/apartment (I.e., Network) but you can not control the street (I.e. Internet)

We have dealt with malware that resets router settings, and after cleaning the computer, we ask the users to push the little button on the bottom of the router to return it to factory settings. This means you have to reset anything that you had previously done to the router settings.

i have pushed the reset button at the back of my router and re-configured my WAN configurations. it ran smoothly for quite sometime but after a couple of hours it went back to its old ways of my network having intermittent connection with my router...

what i did is buy a new router and so far my problem has never returned back again... but my dual WAN router is now a waste...
