Simply put my cousin wants to build a new computer and this is the only issue that I see.
He wants to reuse his 4GB of RAM from his old machine but I'm not sure if it's compatible with his chosen Motherboard, and I couldn't find anything in my searches. I've only heard of that brand of RAM once before so I don't know a whole lot about it.

Never heard of the brand either; however I would see if the memory voltage and latency is specified on the MSI website (and if it matches the memory he has). If not specified, you could look at the latency and voltage of memory on MSI's qualified vendor list and see if it matches.

Even then - if the specific memory isn't on MSI's QVL - it's still a guess. If he does the upgrade, there's always a chance he'll have to buy new memory if the board won't work with the old sticks.

The RAM MUST match specs of RAM listed on the motherboard's QVL (qualified vendors list). The QVL for that motherboard is listed under the Support Tab > Test Report here.
