I found this on the Avira TechBlog.

Important! As of this posting Firefox 3 did warn of an invalid certificate because the Plugin Check isn’t final yet. Although, the site is safe. Mozilla will hopefully fix the certificate very soon.

You can click "I understand the risks" and add an exception to your certs.

Got it. So that's the invalid certificate? I've never seen one.

    Thanks

I'm getting the same thing LauraR got. Even told me the certificates were from Mozilla, but also from other places as well.. Hmmm.. So, that is the invalid cert. then?:confused I was going to do some sniffing for some add-ons too... Might better wait now, I think.... ;)

I was also getting this message but only from new sites I searched for. I went to firefox and found alot but found the only solution was to reconfigure to safemode.

I personnaly believe this cant be a responsible resolve as there is real good reason to be configured in the protected mode.

I actually took the minute to read the warning. It should not be news to any of us that there are sites designed to be exact replications of commonly searched sites when in fact they are not they intend to be clicked open have no indications they are fake NOT THE ORIGINAL and have one intention to lore you in giving them access through the gates right into your hard drive.

That Foxfire warning specifically says this is one such site impersonating the real site.

I made direct contact with company I was trying to reach via www and they sent me an email with their link. I know this is not going to work with all sites but the original site will have clean verification.
