arggh, need help, FlashMX/5 grrr...

I was set an assignment to make a splash screen in flash.

All easy enough, too easy, I am using FlashMX(most recent version) at home. At uni they use flash 5.0 and I get an error when opening it. As I dont intend on re-doing it all again (I have way too much else to do) I was hoping that some one could tell me it is something simple, like maybe some AS that I for got to take out (which I am really hoping for).

I am just lucky that I decided to test it first... (hand in isnt for a month)

I dont know if I have posted this in the right place but I am hoping that some gifted soul out there will be able to help me... as for me now I have a c++ assignment to enjoy (no really )

got it sorted I think... forgot to save as Flash MX document rather than Flash MX 2004... well, I hope thats it... if anyone knows that this isnt the case... errrr... help!

Flash MX 2004 will only save .fla files in MX (6.0) or MX 2004 (7.0) format. Flash 5.0 won't be able to open them.

The only workaround I can think of is to locate a copy of Flash MX (6.0), which should be able to open a movie saved by MX 2004 (7.0) in MX (6.0) format, and should also be able to save in Flash 5.0 format. I found a 6.0 demo here, but, er, it's in German.

It's almost impossible to find the 6.0 demo, since google just spits out MX 2004 a whole lot. Flash 5.0 is *way* out of date. It's 4 years old.

As for flash 5 being out of date, I know the uni should be upgrading, rather than making students use old programs... it really is stupid, I will be making complaints... I for one do not like sitting in the LRC for hours on end.. I prefer it at home... any way I babble...
