Skidded on the field as I was parking this morning (didn't realise how water logged it was) and car just locked up and couldn't steer out of it.

Since it isn't your fault and your car was parked and stationery you should be able to claim from the third party's insurance. Did you get the other drivers insurance details?

 

No no no, it was my fault that's the thing. My car skidded and hit a parked car!

 

Sounds like it was his fault though. You could still claim if you are fully comp, but then unless you have accident forgiveness, it would be false economy in the long run on your premium at your age.

OUCH!

 

Luckily, I drive it on my mum's insurance...
