Arovax Shield contains Trojan!!(?)

    I recently downloaded/installed the newest Arovax Shield and upon install,
    my antivirus software picks up the 'liveupdate.exe' segment of ArovaxShield
    as Trojan/Downloader.Yeacool.A2. What's up with that??? Is anyone having
    this happen? Please post here or contact me directly at hopperdave2000 at
    yahoo dot com. THANX!

    What AV you using?

    Arovax is a legit app as far as I know and one we wouldnt have listed on Majorgeeks if it wasnt legit, things change I know, but at present I can only think your AV is picking it up as a false positive.

    Installed it and ran Avast, Defender, Ad-Aware, A2 and Panda Online and recieved no warning on trojans ( couldnt find any info on that trojan name either, admittidly I only checked a few virus DBs )

    if a bit uneasy at having it installed, I would uninstall it scan your PC and maybe re-install it after the next update to your AV.

    I'm using Avira AntiVir PE Classic, the freeware version, and it's got the current updates.... If I scan the ashieldsetup .exe, it comes up clean, it's
    just on the install, and if I choose to ignore the warning, I continue to receive
    warnings as ashield runs in the background. Maybe one of the new vdf's for AntiVir is causing the warning. Like I said, with the older ashield, this never
    happened. I've always liked ashield, I think it's a quality product, but this
    is just wierd.... Maybe I'll check ashield against some other antivirus software
    and see what happens....

    Well, it must be false positive in antivir pe 7.... no other AV seems to hit on
    ArovaxShield and no AV databases have heard of Yeacool trojan....
