Arraye0 disk read error is my current nightmare...

I have a Dell XPS 9100, windows 7. Raid 0 setup. The two photos will tell you everything I know about my current situation...is there anything at all I can do? Steps I can take? Something I can try?

Hindsight is 20/20 but some common knowledge needs to come into play too. ALL DRIVES WILL FAIL - soon or later, eventually. And as plodr noted, with RAID0 striped arrays, both drives must be working or you lose everything. So in effect, your chances are double you will lose your data due to drive failure which means having a backup plan and using it is even more critical when using striped arrays.

To what end? Are you trying to recover your data? Or just get a working computer again? If you don't have a backup of your data, you are pretty much out of luck with a recovery unless you are willing to spend potentially $100s or even $1000s (since we are talking RAID0) sending both disks to a professional forensic data recovery service.

You can try running chkdsk /f on the array - it can't make it worse. Or if your RAID utility came with a diagnostic tool, you should try that. But don't hold your breath.

I fear your only option is a plodr suggested and that is to break the array, determine the good disk and setup system without RAID and reinstall Windows from scratch.
