ARRG... got an annoying virus this morning...

*scratch* *scratch* ...LOL! J/K


Actually it was called the "backdoor.sdbot virus".. its a trojan. It infects a wack of files and creates some too logs into an IRC chat channeldefined by its creator and allows him/her to access your PC online.


I was looking around for Operation flashpoint mods/custom missions. I found one called Operation flashpoint Bloopatch. I thought..hmmm curious..what is this? a funny mod for the game.. so I d/l it and click the self-extract file.. I get the hour glass..a couple seconds of HD activity then nothing....right then I know..this isnt good..then It tried to dial up to the net on its own and I knew something was way wrong. NAV come up with the virus name upon scaning but it couldnt get rid of the virus in the system32.exe file..of course.

Anyway.. I looked and read..looked some more and found a neat little proggie called Trojan Remover..quaint title eh?

Well I run it and it did the trick..she is gone and my puter isnt acting dumb anymore.
