Its about time some big company came down on these 3rd party apps that like to make it hard to take back control of your browser.

Hopefully it'll send a message. I doubt it, but you can always hope. LOL

Microsoft: older versions only .... guess better than nothing eh?

Microsoft confirmed in a release that the newest version of Ask.com toolbar won't be considered malware, it's actions only apply to older versions.

Sadly 3rd party apps and toolbars, even downloads from certain OK sites can be deemed malware by some browsers, its a fine line on ok and over protect.

Some sites can be maligned wrongly by over protective software but many novice users will not know this, no ones fault but some sites are tarred as malware wrongly at times.
