ask toolbar deleted, still active

In the process of downloading a game program, Ask loaded its toolbar onto my computer.
Went to add/remove programs and removed it.
However, it did not remove Ask completely. When we go to Firefox (our default) it is replaced by an Ask window. The toolbar is still present. However, there is no listing for Ask under programs.
What procedure would I follow to take Ask out of my computer?

Check if it appears in FF's Tools > Add-ons.

I have to pack up now, but if you look back a couple of days someone else had a similar problem with this, and a guy from Ask, Eric I seem to remember, posted on how to fully remove it.

I wound up going to IEx, Tools, Internet Options nad went from option to option. Can't remember where but I found a selection that allowed me to ue Firefox as my default browser.
Went back and downloaded, then updated Mozilla and am now a content camper.
All that is left now is to figure out where shorcut went for FF.

 

Disregard....Somehow when FF was last downloaded the desktop icon was moved and I overlooked it.
We are cooking with Crisco on all four burners, and preparing to kick in the afterburner.
