    Hello Good People:

I made the mistake of disconnecting the power and data cables of both hard drives in my desktop to do some thorough cleaning. After I reconnected all cables and started the PC, I noticed for the first time an ASP.NET Machine Account along with my personal account. This ASP.NET Machine Account requires a password for which there is not one.

When I try to open my personal account I get the following message: "A problem has prevented Windows from accurately checking the status of the license for this computer. To proceed, your copy of Windows must be activated with Microsoft. Do you want to activate now? Yes.....No."

When I click on either Yes or No, I am logged off and that's it. I can go no further and cannot get on the computer.

Pressing F8 at boot up does not get me into Safe Mode either. Anyone have any ideas as to how to correct this problem and get me up and running again?

    Thanks.......Bob

Did you put the drives back on the same connection on the cable at the original places...ie: Master on last connection and slave on middle?

    Hi

Yes, SATA 1 and 2 on the mobo. Has to be right or it wouldn't recognize the OS at all at startup would it?

    Bob
