   My Acer Aspire 3680 developed a problem where the display remained black with a very dim ghost image showing. When hooked to an external monitor it was fine. After some advice I replaced the inverter but it has not cured the problem.
   Anyone got any ideas ???

   check and see if everything is connected, and if that dosn't work if it is in warranty send it to aspire

   I've read posts were people replaced the capacitors. I've never taken a laptop apart so I have no idea if a laptop monitor has capacitors or that is strictly standalone LCD displays.
