so u just push the button and nothing happens? any lights or noises? fans starting up? double check all your power connections, make sure the motherboard is on the brass standoffs (between the mobo tray and the mobo itself) so its not grounding itself

    As well as viper_boy403, suggests
    Go to basics.
Remove all addin cards, disconnect hard drive, any graphics card, disconnect cd/dvd rom.
Just have one stick of ram.
Just have start and reset connections connected.
Start - if you get one beep, shut down, and add periphials, one at a time .
It can be such a little thing that that is usually the easiest way to test.

If you have antyvirus installed, (Avats is good for Vista---Vista has its own firewall, so go online and register, and Vista will update itself and find any missing or updated drivers for you.
