Asus 533e win98 extra 512 ram

Gentlemen

A while back I posted a question abt.asus 533e m/b with win 98 and adding extra 512ram.

I thought there was some thing wrong with my m/b.

Someone reminded me that with win98 you can only have total 512 ram.

I wanted to write back with my out come. I was installing the extra ram to bring system up to 1 gb.

I just wanted to check my new ram if it was ok . Than I was going to upgrade to win xp.

My wife use’s the puter so I always due upgrades with removable drives that way if i crap things up I can switch back to the old OS.

I have upgraded to win xp and my new ram works great with the MB. 1 gig total.

Some where on this web sight there is an unofficial update to win 98 that corrects win98 512 limation.

I run the program on my removable win 98 drive Win98 se now works with 1 gig of ram

any way sorry to ramble just wanted to let the guys who helped me know that every thing is working.
