Asus Aspire One doesn't turn on

I just got done replacing the screen on my friends Asus netbook and now it will not turn on. Everything went smoothly.

Anybody have an idea what I should check?

You have to double check all your steps of reassembly. Did you use a guide that you can link to? Someone might be able to see a possible culprit for the problem.

No power at all--no lights?

 

The guide I used was printed off by my friend and didn't have any reassembly instructions.

It was easy enough to do. Didn't really need the instructions.

Oh and its a Acer not Asus.

Did your friend get the display from Acer, or from a retailer such as Newegg, or from elsewhere like eBay?

And, to reiterate sach2's question: no power at all--no lights? Have you tried with/and without the battery?

What were the original symptoms? Is the old display completely shot, or is it in any shape to be used for troubleshooting?

Might also help to give us any model and/or service/serial #s of the laptop and the displays, and operating system version and any Service Pack #s for search purposes.
