Asus Monitor No Sound

Have recently bought asus vg24vqe curved monitor mb asus z170 deluxe radion r9 380 graphics I was using a tv through hdmi cable and surprisingly it was working quite well running rdr2 the only nigle was getting the desktop to fit the screen now with this new monitor I can’t get sound it seems like a common problem having trawled through google and YouTube strange I m using the same hdmi cable I was using on the tv setup I can find the monitor in control panel sound and find all the settings from the taskbar simbol but can’t find reference to hdmi anywhere any help would be much appreciated

 

It would be appreciated if you did not post 1 giant run-on sentence with no punctuation nor spaces. (I'm in my 70's so reading can sometimes be taxing.)

When you plug in a 3.5mm headset to the monitor do you have sound? If not, there might be a problem.

and the only thing I saw about troubleshooting sound was to adjust the volume on the monitor and the computer, and to make sure the sound driver is properly installed and activated.
