Been thinking about a new pc even though my current one is only 2.5yrs old Prescott 2.8e 800fsb/ ASUS P4c800-3 board that also does 800fsb.

Anyway I decide to run a profiler(Belarc Advisor) to gather specs and start comparing to new stuff to order a system and guess what... This system is somehow running at 200fsb instead of 800fsb. WTF?

When into the setup and everything is set at auto. I wonder what is making it throttle down to 200fsb.

Anyone have this ASUS p4c800-e board and can maybe give me some pointers on what to change to crank this bad boy up to 800fsb?

    Thanks.

I ain't sure I understood your problem but I am gonna try.
Is it the system or the CPU that should be running in 800MHz?
If the CPU's theoritical speed is 800MHz, since for each cycle of the system the CPU runs 4 cycles, there is nothing to worry. System fsb 200MHz = CPU fsb 800MHz.
    Did I get it?

maybe thats it. I probably don't understand it must need more coffee :). I thought that if the mb supported 800fsb and the chip was 800fsb that when I ran diag utils it would show the system running at 800fsb not 200fsb. Does that make sense?
