I'm not sure why but I been getting lot's of crash's and BSOD's
From what ive seen everything's pointing to the on board GPU going bad
The pc shuts off at random, turns back on and there's no display
Sometimes it takes several restarts to get the display working again.
Lots of times before crash, the screen blocks up and scrambles.

It could be a driver issue, is it booting ok into safe mode? Is there enough airflow getting to the onboard GPU, If it has a fan is it working well? I don't know if you have one, but perhaps disable the onboard video and try a PCIE vid card and see what happens.

hrm, probably not a driver issue if it doesn't come back on after a hard restart. Are you running the latest BIOS?

I don't have a pci-e video card, There's plenty of air flow, I'm running 3 fans and they all work and I'm not even doing anything Like gaming that would be pushing the GPU to overheat, thus causing my problem, Asus told me to try resetting cmos,, but I don't know how.. I got this board brand new from newegg six months ago and I'm not sure if it has the latest bios..

A number of reviews I just read about that mobo mention video problems and high temp readings for the onboard video chip. Don't know if the graphics are in the northbridge or southbridge chip. If it has a heatsink on it could be that the contact (heat tape, heatsink compound) may have loosened up.

As for the BIOS, the latest version is vr. 2201, dated 7/15/2010. There are 13 listed on Asus' site, vr 0306, 08/18/2009 being the initial release of the board.
