ASUS vid... anygood?

That card anygood? For the price, it seems good to me! but if its not good then im going to get this one

The prices dont matter as long as their under $200 but, im just trying to save money

 

asus makes good products also xfx does, but the xfx memory is 1000mhz as suppossed to the 550 on the asus for thirty dollars more i would go with the xfx but that is just me.

 

The second card will have better performance, since it is clocked faster. It also has a toll free number for tech support. If you have to call Asus tech support you sit on hold at your expense. If you get through to the receptionist, they tell you everyone is busy, and someone will call you back, but they won't. It is absolute hell to deal with them. If the product has to be RMA, you then have to call California, again at your expense, to be once again put on hold. Asus likes to repair the product so there is a lengthy delay before you get it back. I have a MB, that was to be RMAed, and the level 2 supervisor said he would authorize a cross shipment, so I wouldn't be without a MB, only to find out they didn't have one in California, nor could they tell me when they might. It was the absolute worst imaginable experience I have ever had with customer/tech service I have ever endured. Needless to say, i won't be buying any more Asus products.

 

Although i havent had a bad exp. with asus (i like my A7N8X-X mobo) i do think that XFX is better, i was just asking due to the money that would be saved... (I probably wouldnt trust ASUS with a vid card neway.... just mobo's for me!)

 

dont forget you're comparing a 6600 to a 6600GT... the GT will naturally be better. i'd get that one.

 

hey dont forget the one that costs more also has a rebate for $30 so it will cost the same as the cheaper one lol

It's 159.99 after the rebate, so it's still $30 more.
