    Hi there

My network config is as follows:
    1. ADSL modem supplied by SP, coming in at phone inlet.
    2. SiteCOM Switch (5 port.) This switch is connected to ADSL modem, as well as a PC (Vista) and a Samsung TV. (This switch is in my living room)
    3. Eminent Switch (8 port). This switch is connected to the SiteCOM switch, as well as 2 PC's (Win7). (This switch is in my bedroom)
    4. ASUS WL-500gP V2. This router is connected to the Eminent switch, using the WAN port on the router. From here my Wireless devices can connect. (Laptop & Philips Wireless music) (This switch is in my bedroom)

Using this configuration, ALL devices can go onto the internet without a problem, so I'm fairly sure that the PC's etc is setted up correctly.

    Here is my problems.

    1. I cannot cannot to the ASUS WL-500gP V2 router from a PC not directly connected to it. I have to use my laptop (wireless), or disconnect my PC from the Eminent switch and connect it to the Router.

    2. Any device connected directly to the ASUS router, cannot connect to any other PC on the network. For example, my PC connected to my Eminent switch, can view a shared drive of a PC connected to the SiteCom switch. My Notebook that connect wireless through the ASUS router, cannot view the shared drive on the PC connected to the SiteCom switch. If I take my PC that is connected to the Eminent switch, that CAN view the shared drive, and connect it into a LAN port on the ASUS router, then it cannot view the shared drive on the PC that is connected to the SiteCom switch.

    ANY help would be appreciated.

    Kind regards,
    Michael

The ASUS does not belong on the WAN port. In this configuration you are using the router only to broadcast a wireless signal and not to send the connection settings to the modem. It needs to be setup similar to how a pc would. It needs an IP address and not much else. It should not be configured with login info for the ISP.

See if that fixes your networking issue. Devices attached to the wireless in this config will have a different IP range so that might also be your issue with sharing.
