I can right click on any .wmv video file, and save it to my harddrive. I want to download the 4/10/06 Kinison tribute .asx video on http://www.screaminsam.com/ but it only downloads as a link to the streaming show. Is there a way to save it for keeps as I do .wmv?

Try opening the asx file in notepad. You should then see the link to the wmv file.

I do see the link in notepad, thanks. How do I now save that to my hard drive?

I tried pasting the .wmv url in my browser, and it downloaded to the extent that it would play. When I clicked on File/Save in Win Media Player, it said cannot save, make sure disc is not full or write protected. I have 110 GB free space.

What I typically do in these situations, is the following:

    Open notepad, and type in:

    Code:
    <a href="http://www.edited.com/video_previews/kinison.wmv"> test </a>
    Save the file as something.html

Open the file via your web browser, then right click the link and "save as".

Replace "edited" with the actual url.....
