I'm suddenly getting a BSOD saying there's an atapi.sys error. I have Windows XP Pro SP3. Any suggestions how to deal with this?

    Thanks

That error indicates a problem with an optical drive (CD or DVD).
    Can you boot into windows?

Couldn't get into Windows so I gave up. It was time for a clean install anyway.

    Thanks for trying
