i just bought a brand new all in wonder 9600 pro card and been very excited to use it, but cant seem to get it to display any information on the screen whatsoever when i turn the machine on, nor does it even beep. I hear the system turn on, but still, displays nothing. Ive work with computers for a long time now, Ive built 2 pcs from scratch with little conflict, and know just about everything im doing, and thought this would be simple, but after spending 6 hours on this, i still cant get it to work. These are the steps ive taken to try to resolve the problem: uninstalling old video card, update agp/motherboard drivers, made sure output in hooked up correctly, reformatted windows, trying both vga slots to hook monitor into, making sure agp slot is at 128mb in bios. It seems even when i unstall the drivers from the old video card, when the system boots up, the FIRST THING it displays on the screen (with old video card in) The nvidia video card and its stats, then it goes into the screen of listing the memory and devices. once the systerm loads into windows xp, it has all the drivers from the video card installed again. ive looked all over the internet to try to see how i can completely remove it and tried just about everything, and still the system will not display anything with the video card in the system, at any point of time. The only thing i can think of is either my computer is looking for the nvidia card to display on, or that the computer has never used a mulipul output adapter like the 1 supplied with the video card and doesnt recognize it
I hope you can help me out.

Well that doesnt sound too good, can you list all your system specs etc, was your old card a PCI or AGP version, does your new card need to have its own power supply from a four pin molex connector, not easy but is there any way you can tell if the fan on your vid card is spinning
Do you have another machine too try your new card in, theres always the possibility the card is bad, and you will have to exchange it :(

Sure man. heres my system specs:
    Amd 2400+ athlon xp proessor
    pc chips motherboard (via drivers)

    256 ddr ram
    1 80 hard drive

new card: 8x 128 mb ati all in wonder 9600 8x/4x (bios set to run at 4x) does not need to be powered and is also an agp video card. No other working machine at the moment to test it on. but, like i said, its BRAND NEW. sealed and everything. i hope its not the damn card,
