    Hi,

    I'm running Windows XP - 32bit.

I have just fresh installed windows xp and downloaded the latest software/drivers.

I went to the official website.. (Radeon HD 2600XT)
    http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/radeon_xp-32.aspx

I Installed the latest graphic software/driver and came into trouble.. the installation showed 1 error, I clicked to view the error report and the report was blank. So I didn't even get an error code to work with.

Catalyst Control Center won't start up (version 10.12) I have done automatic window updates, but still no luck.

I'm utterly stumped for ideas! even after Google seaching..

can anyone offer some help? that would be great :) Thanks.

Have you checked to see which version of .NET your CCC needs and whether it's one of the versions installed on your XP?

Won't let me install net 1.0 says it's not compatable with the other versions.

Hmm, let's assume for now that .NET is ok, try the driver install next then check the logs and try to work out whats happening.

Can you install the display drivers only package from here successfully?

Can you run the DXdiag tests successfully? Any error-flagged hardware showing in Device Manager?

Can you check through the Application logs in Windows Management for any messages logged around the time of each attempted install of the drivers/CCC package?

oft... right, I have reverted back to the previous version of CCC that works, and just installed the new drivers, but now I get...

NO SIGNAL > black screen > pc freeze, I checked the system log and got this:

These are official drivers off the official website as well :confused

That may be a mismatching CCC/drivers combo? Try updating the CCC now, if you can.
